Brokencyde est formé, au départ de 3 membres, leur musique est assez similaire a celle de maintenant. Ils sont en quelque sorte les précurseurs d'un genre mélangeant le screams associé au hardcore et death-metal et la musique électronique. Ils sont ensuite rejoint par Phat J, et BREE sur scène. BREE est un cochon qui danse sur scene avec le groupe. (La chanson BREE BREE lui est d'ailleurs dédiée.) On y trouve une trés grande communaute de fan. Bien que la plupart soit concentré aux USA d'où le groupe est originaire, de nombreuses personnes supportent le groupe dans le monde.
